Series of in-house seminars at
ASHE
Summary of the actual
implementation
October 2006 – April
2008
One of the major elements of Component 1 of the
CARDS 2003 project was to provide training and assistance to the
staff of ASHE in relation to the Agency’s tasks and
activities concerning quality assurance and evaluation in higher
education and science in Croatia. The project was expected to
conduct in-house seminars covering a wide range of relevant themes
in QA of HE. And since these themes are relevant not only for the
staff of ASHE but also for the experts and Council members involved
in the evaluation activities they were also welcome to attend the
seminars according to their interest and
availability.
The seminars were held in the meeting room of ASHE
unless specified otherwise. The facilitator of the seminars and
presenter in most cases was Key Expert 1 of the project (Dr.
Tibor Szanto), with the involvement of Key Expert 3 (Dr.
Edgar Frackmann), the Office Manager (Ms. Vesna Vrga),
and staff members of the Agency. Short Term Experts
were also invited for making presentations on special
themes.
Taking into account the results of the needs
analysis of ASHE staff conducted in September 2006, the following
in- house seminars were held during the duration of the project.
Besides the staff preferences we took into account the
interrelations of the various themes when making this programme and
tried to arrange them in a logical order so that the individual
seminars could be built on each other. (Arabic numbers refer to
seminar themes as they were included in the needs analysis
questionnaire for ASHE staff members.)
